The native red seaweed of Los Angeles, California, the British Virgin Islands, and Carribean islands alike is known as Irish sea moss, or red seaweed and is our base ingredient used for all garden sea moss products. Harvesting Irish sea moss is done by hand, taking the frond above the root, and leaving the root for future regrowth and reharvest. It is then ungone a cleansing process and thorough rinse, and sundried or preserved in a hydration solution to produce fresh sea moss gel. Our multi-purpose Irish sea moss products come in a variety of sea moss gel, sundried sea moss fronds, and a candied powder.
Brown seaweed, or kelp, and kumbo kelp is grown along the Pacific Ocean coast line and is harvested, collected, and cultivated at the Los Angeles, California store front location. One of the main kelp products is our dry noodle and noodle seasonings which can sold both packaged and served as an in-house hot meal ready to eat. We also provide a variety of topical and medicinal varieties for everyday uses.
Our flax seeds are grown and imported from the Los Angeles kitchen garden then over to the island store front allowing availability within both locations. Flax seeds are rich in a specific omega-3 known as alpha-linolenic acid that lowers cholesterol and contain lignans which help regulate hormones and known for its anti-cancerous effects. Our powdered flax seed is great as a skincare exfoliant/gel mask or egg substitute for healthy cooking alternatives.
